Per a report from Gazetta dello Sport Wolves remain in pole position to sign Portuguese striker Andre Silva from AC Milan this summer.

The forward was initially subject of interest from Nuno Santo’s side in March when Calciomercato laid claims that a move could be on the cards.

Silva is a client of super agent Jorge Mendes, an individual who has close ties with Wolves, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if a bid materialised during the transfer window.

Only last month, Calciomercato reported that Mendes was trying to get the 23-year-old a move to the Premier League.

The Portugal international spent last season on loan with Sevilla, where he enjoyed a promising start to the campaign, but after November he only managed to find the net on two occasions.

Given the striker could cost €30m (£26.68m), per Gazetta dello Sport, it could represent something of a risk considering his recent form.

With a transfer possibly in the offing, Football FanCast writers have given their verdicts on whether Wolves should continue to pursue the striker.

Here’s what they’ve said…

Harry Sherlock:

“Silva is clearly talented but one has to ask if he’d be capable of making the step up to the Premier League. He scored just 11 goals in 2018-19 and also struggled with injuries throughout the campaign. He has never really set the world alight at any of his previous clubs – his scoring record at Porto was fine but at Milan and Sevilla it can be categorised as disappointing. This, then, would be a punt from Wolves. It could work out but if it doesn’t, it could be an expensive mistake.”

Luke Glanville:

“I think it’s easy to look at any high-profile Portuguese player and say that Wolverhampton Wanderers should sign them. However, Andre Silva is the real deal at just 23 and Nuno Espirito Santo really does need another striker. Silva’s scoring record both domestically and on the international stage is highly impressive and it would be interesting to see how he would fare in the Premier League. £26.68m isn’t a huge amount to gamble in the market these days and, with that said, Wolves should do it and not look back.”

Billy Meyers:

“He’s definitely a player of some pedigree, but players like this expect to start and be the main man. With Raul Jimenez up top alongside Diogo Jota, a pairing which we all know is extremely effective, there comes the danger of upsetting one of them if Andre Silva arrives. Wolves should be wary of overfilling their squad with marquee names.”

وأوضحت التقارير المنشورة على موقع “فوت 24” التونسي، أن ناديي سيراميكا والترجي التونسي قد اتفقا على انتقال بونسو للنادي المصري لمدة 3 مواسم.

وأكدت التقارير أن نادي الترجي التونسي قد اشترط الحصول على مبلغ 250 ألف دولار نظير التنازل عن خدمات اللاعب.

تجدر الإشارة إلى أن بونسو كان قد انتقل لنادي باب سويقة التونسي، قادمًا من أشانتي كوتوكو في صيف 2019.

Spurs are this summer looking to finally spend a bit of money and build on the impressive squad Mauricio Pochettino has at his disposal.

Champions League finalists last season, the Londoners are edging ever closer to finally landing some silverware it would seem, but another summer of non-spending will surely hold the club back as they look to bring some success back for the fans.

However, while bringing in players is going to be key, Spurs also have plenty of players who other clubs are interested in, not least Kieran Trippier, who is reportedly being lined up for a £30m bid by Italian giants, Juventus.

And here in the Tavern, we think that Spurs simply cannot afford to reject such an offer for a player who has not had his finest year whatsoever in the white of Spurs.

Trippier has looked off the pace for a good few months now, never seemingly quite getting over the hangover from England’s 2018 World Cup campaign over in Russia.

While he remains a threat from dead balls and is full of energy up and down the right hand side, mistakes have crept into his game, and he doesn’t look half the player he did for Pochettino’s men during the 2017/18 campaign.

£30m is a huge chunk of change as well should that be the bid Juventus come in with, and for a right back not at the top of his game, Spurs simply have to be snapping their hands off.

That money could be reinvested back into the squad, and with young players like Kyle Walker-Peters breaking into the first-team fold, the loss of Trippier and the addition of £30m in the coffers could be just the ticket for the club as they continue to build towards success.

المهاجم صاحب الـ”34″ عامًا، مطلوب لدىّ أكثر من نادٍ أوروبي، حيث يريد كل من يوفنتوس وميلان إلى جانب نابولي ضمه.

وبحسب شبكة “سبورتس مول” البريطانية، فإن إدارة تشيلسي ترفض بيع جيرو خلال الشتاء الحالي، في ظل رغبة فرانك لامبارد في الإبقاء على النجم الفرنسي.

ولم يوضح التقرير موقف إدارة النادي من تمديد عقد مُهاجمه، مُشيرة إلى أنّ الأمر لم يُطرح في الوقت الراهن، في ظل وجود تيمو فيرنر، وتامي إبراهام، ولكن لامبارد رغم وجود الثنائي يرفض بقاء جيرو.

جيرو هذا الموسم مع تشيلسي شارك في 16 مُباراة بمُختلف المٌسابقات، وسجّل تسعة أهداف.

أفادت تقارير صحفية إيطالية، أن الكرواتي ماريو ماندزوكيتش، يقترب بشدة من الانتقال إلى ميلان، خلال فترة الانتقالات الشتوية الجارية.

ماندزوكيتش الآن لا يلعب لي نادٍ بعد رحيله عن الدحيل القطري، رغم أنه لم يكمل موسم معهم بعد الانتقال من يوفنتوس في يناير 2020.

صحيفة “كالشيو ميركاتو” الإيطالية، قالت إن مهاجم يوفنتوس السابق على وشك الانضمام إلى ميلان في صفقة انتقال حر.

اللاعب الكرواتي توصل لاتفاق مع ميلان، وسيوقع رسميًا يوم الثلاثاء، على عقد لمدة 18 شهرًا، أي عام ونصف.

الصفقة متوقفه لحين التوصل لاتفاق بشأن صيغة التعاقد، حيث يحتاج اللاعب الكرواتي لمعرفة ما إذا كان العقد سيكون لمدة 6 أشهر مع خيار التجديد لموسم، أم سيكون التعاقد لمدة موسم ونصف مباشرة.

صاحب الـ34 عامًا رحل عن يوفنتوس في يناير 2020، بعدما سجل 44 هدفًا في 162 مباراة مع كبير إيطاليا بمختلف المسابقات.

According to Yahoo Japan, Gamba Osaka have made an offer to sign Leeds United midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi.

The Japan international joined the Whites in 2018, but he never made an appearance for the Yorkshire club being immediately loaned out to clubs in both Spain and Germany.

Time to go

It’s quite clear that Ideguchi hasn’t got a future at United. The 22-year-old hasn’t been given a chance to shine in a white shirt, and now it is time for him to move on.

Marcelo Bielsa has always said that he prefers working with a small squad, and the midfielder clearly doesn’t factor into his plans. This is an instance where neither party can have any regret about this deal occurring as Ideguchi needs to progress his career and Leeds need to clear out any deadwood.

Spring cleaning

This move should kickstart a fire sale at Elland Road as they try to get rid of their returning loanees.

Vurnon Anita and Hadi Sacko have reportedly been told they can leave, while it is quite clear that Samu Saiz doesn’t want to be at the club next season.

These moves could act as catalysts for Leeds to start making signings this summer as it would greatly reduce their wage bill, while reimbursing them with the transfer fees they receive for each player.

Andrea Radrizzani has previously stated that the club can’t buy players unless they sell a few, and this could be a great way to raise some funds by offloading individuals that don’t factor into the manager’s long-term plans.

Other than making new signings Leeds’ priority this summer should be to shift some of their unwanted players for good to trim the size of their squad, and this move for Ideguchi could prove to be the first of many exits before the new season starts in August.

وقال أبو تريكة خلال وجوده بالاستديو التحليلي لفضائية “بي إن سبورتس”، والذي يديره الإعلامي القطري محمد سعدون الكواري: “نريد أن يرتدي الأهلي الزي الأحمر أمام الدحيل”.

ومع رفض الكواري تنازل الدحيل عن زيه الأساسي الأحمر، أتم أبو تريكة تصريحاته قائلًا: “إن شاء الله سنواجه بايرن ميونخ بالزي الأحمر أيضًا”.

يذكر، أن الأهلي يشارك في بطولة كأس العالم للأندية للمرة السادسة في تاريخه، بعد فوزه ببطولة دوري أبطال إفريقيا على حساب الزمالك.

After conceding a mammoth 54 goals in the Premier League last season, it has been no real surprise to see Manchester United being linked with a host of names at centre-back this summer.

The Red Devils have seemingly had Leicester star Harry Maguire as a target at the heart of defence but reports in recent weeks have suggested that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side could miss out to Manchester City.

Now, in an interview with Goal, one of United’s other targets Kalidou Koulibaly has potentially thrown his future with Napoli into doubt after admitting that he was uncertain about whether he would be at the San Paolo next season.

The report saw loads of United fans take to Twitter to air their feelings on their potential transfer target and many threw their backing behind a move for the Senegal international.

Many supporters of the Manchester side urged the club to get a deal done for the 28-year-old as quickly as possible and felt he would go a long way in improving their defence.

Others however were slightly more sceptical about whether United could pull such a deal off and thought the amount of money it would take to sign him would rule them out of the running.

For months, West Ham United have been linked with a move for Maxi Gomez, though perhaps it’s not actually the best idea. 

The Celta Vigo striker has been hotly tipped with a move to the east London side since the January transfer window when Sky Sports News initially reported that West Ham had agreed a deal for the Uruguayan international to join the club in the summer, and the rumours are only continuing to pile up.

According to Football Fan Cast, the Hammers remain interested in signing the 22-year-old striker whilst the Evening Standard claim that Gomez is a top priority for Manuel Pellegrini this summer with Celta Vigo reluctant to sell for anything under his £43.5 million release clause, and West Ham are taking a big risk if they do crack and pay up the La Liga side’s demands.

Of course, when you compare Gomez to the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez from stats via WhoScored, it paints a good picture as to why the Hammers are interested in the Celta Vigo man.

The 22-year-old scored more goals and registered more assists than either West Ham striker as well as having a higher shots per game average at 2.3, but when you compare Gomez to other strikers the east London side are reportedly interested in, and you can see why the club are taking a risk.

Compared to Callum Wilson, for instance, the English striker outperforms Gomez in both goals and assists as well as in dribbles made per 90 and key passes made. Couple that with reports from the Sun via the Bournemouth Echo that the Cherries striker is valued at around £35 million, perhaps someone with experience in the Premier League would be a better move.

At 22, Gomez potentially has a long career ahead of time but as the club enter phase two of the Pellegrini project, perhaps moving for someone with more experience in the Premier League would be better, if Wilson’s apparent valuation is correct.
